Wonderfully reproduced classic, now in actual gold colored plastic!
Very nicely retooled version of Aurora's classic kit. The new plastics are a bit less fragile and brittle, so you'll suffer fewer broken horns and spikes. It's not terribly true to the Japanese original, but has a great western comic-book feel thanks to being designed by famous Spiderman comic artist Dave Cockrum. This new edition is molded in a metallic gold color, much better than the blah off-white of the previous reissues, or the odd tan & flesh colors of the 1970's original. So a young modeller could snap him together, add a little color in his mouths & eyes, and perhaps spray paint the base some simple colors and have a truly eye-catching old-school model. Even the box is gorgeous on it's own.

For the wargame metal miniature hobby
I purchased a set of these to guarantee I could add a true copper-bristled brush to my hobby toolkit. I've been stripping & restoring numerous wargaming & RPG miniatures from my youth in the early 1980s - all budget-friendly 'used' examples that I restore to shiny, ideal 'showroom new' condition. Many of these miniatures are cast in actual lead or other soft alloys, and the brass and nylon-bristled brushes found in most hardware stores can damage the fragile, tiny textures and details of these old pieces. A miniatures industry professional I consulted with advised me to look for copper, plastic and nylon bristled tools for final polishing & finishing, and this set was the perfect test. Good reviews elsewhere for this specific branded set provided me with the confidence that the copper brush was actually copper rather than other metals - which was something I couldn't verify in less expensive sets offered from the orient that I encountered during my window-shopping. The results I got with this set were just what I'd hoped for, and the additional smaller brush end on each is helpful for getting into small spaces and achieving a consistent finish. These will likely wear out rather more quickly with the hobby use I put them to, and I don't believe they're intended to be tools with a long life span. Considering the inexpensive cost, I'll be ordering a couple of additional packs for my workbench supply without adding much to my overall hobby expenses. In short: If you work with metal war game and RPG miniatures, this is a must-have for cleaning, prepping or finishing pieces.

Sized too small.
While they're good shoes, they're sized way too small. I wear a size 11.5. I purchased a size 12 in these, and they feel like they're actually 11. I'm uncertain if they're defective. Visually comparing them to a size 12 sneaker shows them smaller as well.
