Childhood dream realized!
This came out during my LEGO Space prime age...and I wanted it for my main Futuron base. The color scheme--white, black, transparent red&blue--looked perfect for my "hero" faction (protected, of course, by the Space Police. Unfortunately, I never was able to get my hands on this set.
Until now :)
It is as awesome as I remember, with the bonus that it slots perfectly with all of my Futuron sets. It makes the perfect target for the revitalized Blacktron (with the new 2025 Renegade and 2023 Invader).
I would HIGHLY recommend this set for any Space fan!

The perfect space baseplate.
I remember this baseplate for all of my classic Space LEGO sets, as ubiquitous as the spaceship-orbiting-the-planet insignia on all of the original minifigures. This piece was always a centerpiece of any diorama that I'd build, a necessary backdrop for when I was playing, and a perfect addition to ANY Space LEGO collection.
As far as I'm concerned: you can never have too many of these :)

Makes me miss Classic Space Themes
Excellent quality, wonderful design, dovetails perfectly with established Futuron and (especially) Space Police Lore while giving it a fresh, updated look.
