Reliable and versatile
1 of 1 found this helpful I am mentoring a grad student in a corporate finance class. When I pulled out my calculator to double-check an Excel calculation (a good habit, BTW), she jokingly exclaimed, “Wow, talk about a 70s throwback.” Well, it looks old, but it’s brand new. By the time our session ended, she had talked me into lending it to her while she buys one for herself.
The only caveat: the Platinum version can change entry modes from RPN (reverse Polish notation) to ALG (algebraic) with a function key combination. Shouldn’t really be a problem; a single keystroke won’t change your horses in midstream but it can be annoying if you try for a neighboring function while you are multitasking or “touch-typing” with fat fingers.

Just an aside...
Save your packaging material until you have inspected the merchandise. Through no fault of the shipper, one of my bowls broke. I discovered this after I had recycled the packaging materials.

Read the manual then leave it at home. Put this in with your camera equipment.
