Can't install into Infocus LP640, spent 5 hours trying
Installing a new lamp into the Infocus LP640 projector is notoriously difficult, but in the past I've always accomplished it within a few minutes. The housing tan part of the lamp module must be made quite precisely to at least some of the critical dimensions, and many of these manufactured by different manufacturers are only barely or just plain not to the required precision.
This one just wouldn't install, with difficulty goes in almost, but just won't go the last apx. 3/16 inch, preventing it from making electrical contact and from closing the interlock switch.
Three of us tried for an hour and a half, finally gave up. I brought the unit home and worked on it again this afternoon for 3 hours, filed suspiciously oversize corners, even partly disassembled it, finally giving up. It should be just a simple insertion, so it's very frustrating that the simple insertion just can't be accomplished.

Life saving emergency support at a low price
Though an older model whose manufacturer support ended several years ago, it was inspected, tested and calibrated just 27 months ago, and Re-inspected just 14 months ago. I’m not a trained operator of ventilatorsand have had no way or need to use it, it apparently is capable of providing ventilator support for a patient essentially the same as those used in hospitals today. In SARS and MERS in the past, a large percentage of patients required the ventilation this ventilator provides. I bought it for use in our rural area just in case a temporary “hospital” needs to be set up here in which case it could be operated by retired RNs or others trained in its use. And it is priced so low compared to new current ventilators that cost twenty times its price!
