Heading in a new direction
1 of 1 found this helpful I am a Star Wars fan from the beginning. That being said I looked forward to this movie immensely. However I felt that there was a lack of continuity from the previous movies, too many unanswered questions about the rise of the First Order and the events that took place after Episode VI. However in my view, while this movie is not perfect, it stands well on its own and was thoroughly exciting. I just wish Disney would not tinker so much with the core flavor of the franchise and try to turn it into something that it isn't. It's good old-fashioned Science Fiction, that's why it has appeal over so many generations.
