It's fantastic, beyond words!
Octopath Traveler is one of, if not the best RPG's on the Switch. The graphics while not realistic have a beautiful color palette and are more about subtlety than flash. That's not to say it doesn't show itself off because it certainly does. It just doesn't do it unnecessarily, only when it's appropriate.
It's a lenthy RPG so you'll be getting yo your money's worth and then some. You could definitely replay it and switch up the order in which you find your various travelers.
It plays like a late to mid 90's RPG like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. Though it has a break mechanic all it's own. Basically hitting enemies with a weapon or magic that it's weak against will make the enemy dazed and nets you an extra turn. Learn this mechanic and do it well and enemies won't get turns. That's not to sah it's easy to do because later enemies take more hits to get past their defense. It's eash to play but difficult to master.
The music is on par with some of the best in gaming, it's that good.
If you like SNES era games you'll love this one.
