Totally worth relearning how to take pictures.
I made the switch from a standard DSLR (D5200) to the Nikon 1 J5 a few weeks ago. It took a good week of watching youtube tutorials (there are tons) to understand basic operations of the camera but it has totally been worth the trouble. I have a new passion for photography that I’d lost because lugging around a DSLR will make you hate taking photos. The small size and fast speed of the J5 are fantastic. #DitchTheDslr you’ll be glad you did. Photos below are straight out of the j5. No editing.

Little mic, little price, sound like a big shot!
I bought this mic to record demos of original songs I write, I needed something that would accurately record my guitar and vocals without braking the bank. I read reviews and upon unboxing this little thing I thought, "It feels solid but, its' tiny!" I mean, it's small! I plugged it straight into my Macbook Pro, turned on GarageBand and began playing with levels (it has an onboard gain adjust, handy), recorded a couple of strums from my guitar and Bam!! This tiny little mic accurately and precisely reproduced every little piece of sound my guitar could throw at it and seemingly more after GarageBand auto EQ's for acoustic, I don't play a Taylor or Martin but it sounded like I did tonight! Like I said I've read reviews, heard it was great...it is amazing! Buy one! If you regret it, come beat me up, I've never heard such awesome sound come out of a few hundred bucks for the whole she-bang! (Mac not included).

Not a cd recording… it’s full on mixed well!
Sound incredible!… doesn’t feel like a cd just transferred to vinyl. A humble brag…. I met Jakob Dylan at a concert last night and he signed a blank record sleeve from it and a new purchase of Exit Wounds…. Best night of my life! Dream come true!!!
