Poor quality control
Purchased several of these early this year and used them. Good quality with good paint finish. Ordered a few more last month - every single bracket had bare metal spots that needed to be primed and painted. The first batch also needed paint to match the second batch since they were all part of the same deck project. What happened to their quality control?

Use with heat first
I broke the crossbars in a 35+ yr old tub drain using a removal tool specific - kind of expected that would happen. This tool was my plan B. I spent about 5 min beating and turning this easy-out tool to no avail, but remembered reading others used heat first - hot water for a few minutes or a hair dryer. I had a heat gun and gave the drain a a shot of high heat for a minute before trying to remove it again. Lo and behold! The old drain starting turning with almost no effort. Worth every penny!

Durable
My second one in over two years to replace the worn out original. With phone in pocket all the time I expected it to wear out sooner. This lasts a long time.
