Hard-to-find model, but still not a good match
The transmission oil cooler ports do not match up/align with my Jaguar XJ40, so my mechanic is having to customize hoses for my transmission oil. Total drag. All the extra money I’m spending on labor could have gone towards a custom-built radiator.

Economical solution to a sun-damaged dashboard
This is a great solution if finding a replacement dash is too difficult. Silicone glue is not perfect, tricky to apply per instructions and install without glue leaking/dripping all over the interior. Seems to scratch easily, leaving marks. I got black for an Acura TL and it’s a solid if not ideal solution to a cracked dash.

Slightly unconventional
Omega is famous for its Speedmaster chronographs. The most ubiquitous version features an all-black face, black sub-dials and black bezel, and usually comes with a case at least 40mm across. That version of the watch has existed for maybe 50 years and can be found anywhere. This case is understated at 37mm and therefore is not so flashy. Silver sub-dials provide a nice contrast against the black face. Bracelet is beautiful with alternating polished and matte links. SUBTLE and ELEGANT are the words. I took the watch to my preferred technician, who quickly tuned it to bring the movement back to acceptable accuracy. I love it.
If I had any complaint, I suppose it would be that the crown is not particularly easy to manipulate for purposes of setting the time and the date. The date feature is also set in very small script, so it is not easy to see for those with older eyes.
Also, the watch is not water proof in the traditional sense of the term. My technician recommended that I not swim or shower in it. So do not count on using this watch for diving, surfing, waterskiing, etc. He told me that it is likely splash resistant, such as accidental dousing while washing your hands or cleaning dishes. Ideally, I would want to take this watch everywhere, including the pool and the ocean, but that cannot happen.
