Broadband antenna. Right choice for 10m Ham/CB operator.
2 of 2 found this helpful Attached to 3-magnet mount on trunk of sedan via the 3/8" connection that is standard to 99% of CB antennas. This antenna might be too big for a 5 inch magnet(?). I'm nearly 6ft and can't reach the top when it's mounted on the car at waist level. I really wanted this antenna for it's wide bandwidth. I get <2:1 SWR from just below CB channel 1 (26.965) to above 28.500 (top end of Ham technician band). This let's me use this antenna for both 10m Ham and CB while mobiling around (work DX and monitor local road conditions). If you were going to use this for strictly 10m, it should nearly cover the whole band (you'll need to trim the whip). I'll never be able to push it to a 1,000W, so no idea if it handles 5kW. It receives great. I get great reports from the locals while mobiling. The 'thin' wire coil may actually be a better design than some of the much thicker aluminum coils I've seen for 15kW-20kW (I've seen at least one picture where one of these thicker coils sheared - I imagine from antenna impact, cold weather, and vibration). I think this wire coil is more flexible and will survive longer. This antenna replaced a Lil Wil antenna that has issues with moisture getting into the base and below freezing weather (signals are attenuated? lose resonance? bad connections?). I suspect, with the exception of having to knock some ice out of the big coil during a rare Oklahoma ice/snow storm, I won't have any issues with this antenna.
However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It may not have sex appeal unless you are a radio enthusiast. I'll be cutting it close when it comes to parking garages and drive thru's in terms of clearance (it's no 102 inch whip ... but it's no Lil Wil either). Everything is a compromise. Price vs performance vs size. You can't get all three, but I feel like I found an acceptable compromise for my needs.

Great pistol trainer
Combined with an inexpensive red dot, makes for a fun, inexpensive trainer. Especially for those who need to work on hand strength for racking and trigger control... Feels very nice. Good weight. Very pleased over all with the fit and finish. Don't hesitate... This is the Red Ryder of the BB pistol world (spring loaded... Less than 200 fps)

Great for 3-5 yard practice
Slap on your favorite laser sight, pick up more magazines/clips, and crush as many paper sacks into a card board box and go to town blasting the center out of your targets. Great for maintaining sight picture and trigger control.
