Cigar Box Guitar Tools: Long-shaft Nut/Bridge File Set 40-01-01

As Nut File, Close, but No cigar.

This tool was not able to do the job after much time frustrating time trying to use it. The "file part" of these tools is only one inch long staring 1/4" from the end. The lightest weight files (for strings 1-3) need to be held at both ends to file which leaves very little productive movement plus the difficulty of holding one end with just 1/4" of area. Ultimately the ends bent and broke off of the lighter weight files before I was able to get the nut shaved down to where it needed to be. (The heavier ones are too wide for the higher strings) I ended up buying a kit of real guitar files that worked great and will work again and again, This set does not do what I expected, even once.

Well priced compatible replacement

Basically same as original

Works just as well as original. It would be great if the dedicated channel buttons on the bottom could be reprogrammed but neither could the original one that came with Roku.
