Bring your old LGA 775 into the modern era
I installed this with an adapter into an old LGA 775 motherboard. It is as fast as the top of the line Core 2 Quad for much less money. I have found in benchmarks that it is actually comparable with some newer i5 processors.

Works as expected
Arrived in an anti-static bag and was clean. Excellent. Pulled my old Wireless-N 2.4 card and replaced it with this and now I get full wireless-ac and 5GHz.

Brought an old PC into the modern era. Worked first try on a Xeon E5450
I used this to install a Xeon E5450 into an LGA 775 motherboard. Worked first try by following the instructions from Delidded (website) Only complaint is that the pin swapping adaptor was a pain to install. Not a big deal though. My case now proudly wears its "Xeon Inside" sticker.
