On target!
I really like the way this book is formatted. it takes you through the very beginning from discovering you have diabetes all the way through to long term maintainance.
It does a great job of explaining how various foods work on the body and how, when and why to eat certain foods.
It is also an easy read and can be read a little at a time since the book is set up to be a lesson plan on eating week to week.
I highly recommend this for those just diagnosed with Diabetes.

Needed for safety.
A carbon monoxide alarm is a must have for any home. This one is very easy to install. Put in the included back up batteries and plug it in. That’s all there is to it. I put in the wall outlet in the kitchen outside the door to the garage.

Oldie but Goodie - Palm IIIe
The Palm IIIe is a second generation palm pilot. It is very, very easy to use and provides the basic tools for organizing and storing a lot of data. This is my second one, I crushed the first in a car door when it slid off the seat as I was closing the car door. It was very easy to take the e-bay purchased item and upload my saved data from my PC. It was like never loosing the original.
It holds 4 MG of info which is plently for holding basic data.
If you need a color screen, a small compact unit, and the latest bells and whistles this is not for you. This is a very simple basic tool. It has no capacity for downloading large files, it is not a phone. However, if you just need to organize your life and keep track of appointments, birthdays, special events et. this is a good tool. It is important to keep a copy of the data base on you PC so you can recover everything if you ever have to replace the unit. I also do not think the software is compatable with Windows Vista. I am using Windows XP with no problem.
