Batteries in then worked straight away.

No need to programme. All buttons and functions in same place as Sony original. Only possible concern is that the up/down keys operate as separate buttons rather than the rocker switches on the original.

Have used similar before but at higher price.

Have used similar before but at higher price. Consider the sockets to be disposable, as they fail to switch off eventually, but this could be the transmitter battery failing. Cannot confirm.
