Keep one handy.

Right size to stash in any small survival kit or even edc sandwich bag. Plenty of them to always have one available. I'll never forget my friend who couldn't start a fire to keep warm on an outing with his group. This ferro rod wrapped in cigar leaf foil for waterproofing(see to left rear in kit.)
