Design Flaw
The IDEA behind SNARK is awesome! A tuner that senses vibrations and tunes in on the correct key using that data. I admit that I have personally bought about 10 of them. Why so many? Because they break. Every one that I have had is broken, and all in the same place: where the extension arm fits into a ball and socket joint on the headstock clip. It's made with four plastic prongs that always break due to the stress placed on them by the movement of the arm.
The batteries never seem to stay charged for very long, either. Even Duracell and Energizer batteries don't last very long in this tuner.
Since SNARK is my first tuner of its kind, I just kept on buying another...then another.
There are many tuners of its kind that are built much better than a SNARK. TAYLOR comes immediately to mind.
Great tuner. Poorly designed and constructed clamp.
