Good features, not so good sound quality. KX-TGMA45S is silver, not white.
A KX-TGMA45S has a Silver face plate (the S in the last character of the model number), not white. What I received was a KX-TGMA44W, which is White (the W in the last character of the model number). KX-TGMA44W is not compatible with a KX-TGM450 base, it is compatible with a KX-TGM440 base. What base you have determines which handset you need.
Both handsets have some very nice qualities, very readable display with nice navigation, large/easy to read buttons, nice caller id log, call blocking (without the phone ringing), loud ringer, and lights that flash when the line is ringing.
However, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. It has amplified sound with an optional Boost feature. The KX-TGMA45S has more amplification than the KX-TGMA44W. Unfortunately sometimes the amplification distorts the sound too much.
