Console great, controller is bad

The console works perfectly, it updated fast and has clear images and controls. The controller however has extremely bad drift, so I'll have to get a whole new one but I didn't buy it for the controller. The packaging was odd, there was no padding or bubble wrap to protect everything according to my brother who opened the package while I was at work. The package did come fast and all in all, everything except the controller works great.
