Great for collecting or practice
Heavy pommel and longer grip, can easily serve as a hand-and-a-half (bastard) sword. Style is somewhere between a late Viking and early Norman sword, The pommel is oddly lumpy for such an otherwise nice piece, but this is clear in the pictures and nothing to be surprised at. Like the similar Viking sword, the grip is somewhat skinny and could benefit from some wrapping for bigger hands to latch onto. Neither of these are major issues.
Overall it's a great piece for collecting, a good weight and balance for practice. For costuming events, it can pass for anything from a fantasy blade to a knightly sword. Highly recommended.

Big-Head Discovery
Nice little minifig, like a funko pop Discovery. Nothing wrong with the two I purchased other than a tiny flaw in the paint job on one, obviously part of the production process, I can't fault the seller. Obviously the other reviewer here had bad luck in the copy he got, I would not say these are bad products in any way.
Nice level of detail for a vinyl toy, you don't expect a screen accurate reproduction from what's basically a big-head figure, but the essentials are there. It's definitely Disco.

O Lord protect us from the toy swords of the Northmen
A surprisingly sturdy, well-crafted, and well assembled little sword. I say "little" only because it's very short, which I knew purchasing it, and because the grip is quite skinny for adult hands. It's labelled as a toy, so I'm sure it's designed for kid's hands, sooner or later I'll get around to wrapping the grip in faux leather or coated wire or something to make it a bit thicker.
Otherwise it is as nice of a wooden Viking short sword as you can want, extremely nice for the price, a reminder of the times when the Book of Common Prayer contained the phrase "O Lord protect us from the fury of the Northmen".
