Incredible piece of history
Peter Jackson and crew did an incredible job of restoring this 100 year old footage, cleaning up the image and improving resolution, converting it all to 24fps, adding voices to the soldiers with realistic sounding explosions. The widescreen and color add to the entertainment value. This movie puts you right in the middle. It's too bad its not on 3d blu-ray.

A 1080p picture with Dolby Digital 5.1.
The manual was vague in explaining how to program recording shows like a VCR, but I figured it out. The 1080p picture looks high def, although the bitrate is much lower then what a blu-ray disc can deliver. I seem to lose the ending of many programs. Maybe the TV guide is just a loose guide as to start and stopping times. The unit automatically displays accurate time by air and it does record 5.1 dolby digital sound.

Excellent 3d and comfortable.
Excellent 3d performance, it paired easily with the emitter and are comfortable. I did not notice any crosstalk or double imaging.
