just what I needed
The Cars reference notwithstanding, this was the right part, as described, and is installed & operating normally. Highly recommended!

good value
I purchased this to add resolution to my current mixer that only has an 8-LED, stereo output meter (-21db, 0db, +6db and CLIP). I mounted it in an ABS Hammond enclosure and have attached it to my mixer platform. I use the VU plus Peak setting and have set the attenuation to match my mixer's LED meter. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 Star rating is I would have liked to have the top LED pair red and the few pairs just below it (10 or 12 thru 15) yellow. Still, good value, highly recommended!

Great for off-gridding
Much brighter than I imagined, lasts a long time, very light weight and collapses down to a very packable size.
Caveat; If it cannot be recharged in direct sunlight for most of the day, depending on how much charge used the night before, it might not fully recharge. Still, for serious off-gridding in the back country, an amazing product!
