Great scope for the money, throw away the rings.

The rings that come with the scope are throw away's. All scopes should be mounted with the best possible rings available.

Extra effort saved the day.

I have been trying to find this obsolete quick release plate for years and the ingenuity from this supplier made adjustments to a plate from another brand and it works perfectly.
