Live It Up by Third World (CD, Apr-1995, Third World)
    Mar 07, 2017
Great CD From A Great Band
By the time this music came out, Third World had been around long enough to have developed a style of their own. Probably the first reggae artists to seek real commercial success, that style is more mainstream. By mixing pop, rock and R&B covers with radio friendly originals, they have managed to have a long and successful career. This 1995 release shows them at the top of their game.

    Fun Stuff From The 70's!
Middle Of The Road was a European bubblegum act that were active from the late 60's through the mid 70's. While they had a successful run in Europe, Asia, etc, they were less well known in the US. That's a pity because their records were well-made with big sing along choruses, booming drums and great guitar hooks. Early power pop. As bubblegum was music marketed to a younger demographic, most of this isn't terribly serious. That's OK, it's catchy. It would be hard to listen to this and not be smiling and singing along. Lyrics aren't too tricky. I would recommend.

    Great Throw-back Blues Rock
Any fan of 70's blues rock will find this album enjoyable. Mr Gomes guitar playing, singing and songwriting will take you back, if you've been there before. If you haven't, you can pretend. Enjoy.
