As weak as water!
This Cacherel is a very weak reformulation of the original. It has a very nice smell for about fifteen minutes then rapidly fades away to nothing. The longevity is the least of any of my edts. Very disappointing. I will not be buying it again.

Reflections on a reflector!
Just the ticket! I have used it a couple of times and it dies what I expect it to do. It is a bit unwieldy when trying to handle it alone with one hand and use the camera with the other but clamped to a light stand or other convenient mounting point it works very well. Recommended.

For dedicated Markevitch fans only!
Accurate sleeve notes and fewer mono recordings would make this a better product. Tchaikovsky's "Pathetique" symphony is designated as Symphony No.8.!! He only wrote six numbered symphonies plus the "Manfred" symphony Sloppy!
Overall the set is worth having for some rare recordings not available elsewhere but they are not top quality in terms of sonics.. Markevitch was a truly great conductor and fans will want this box set but casual classical music fans would be better off with more modern recordings by different conductors.
No booklet included and disc sleeves only provide basic information.
