Best bang for the buck

Great durable low cost microphone.
Great durable low cost drum microphones. I use these microphone for both recording and live sound. The Xlr 90 degree angled end cords are the only cheap part of peaveys kit which this microphone was a part of. My drummer got a larger kit so I needed another Tom microphone.

Don't buy for the volume control!
Headphones are comfortable to wear, but don't have as good a sound as the free ipod headphone. Specks rate the sony headphone as being able to produce sound down below 30k which is very impressive(great bass), but I am not hearing it. The most disappoint ing was the "volume control". I expected the in cord volume to be line that of apple ipod, which actualy controls the volume on the ipod to raise and lowwer the volume output level of the ipod. The Sonys volume is a resistor in the headphone itself raising the ohms of the headphone making it quiter, as a result anything other than full volume adversely effects the sound quality.
