Still fast by today's standards so great value for money now. Triple channel memory.
I am upgrading some old LGA1366 socket servers I just got back from a customer's upgrade and wanted to use them in-house. These CPUs are actually still very fast by today's standards and much much faster than the 1st gen i7 CPUs that were in these servers. Simple swap. They can also access much more RAM. The original i7 could only "see" 24GB which is a bit limiting today. With these CPUs I can use 64GB or more if your motherboard can manage more.

So bad, that Seagate are being sued
I have bought and sold many of these drives back when they were new. I think almost all of them have now failed including one that I had been using to backup data for some time. I didn't think the computer would have one in it because I have replaced all of them now. But this one escaped the cleanse and unfortunately went the way of the other 99.9% of Seagate 7200.11 drives. I was led to believe that it was possible with these drives to replace the circuit board with an identical but still working drive and you could recover your data. Several sellers on various websites make this claim. I HAVE NEVER had any luck recovering one of these drives using that method. This actual drive I purchased in desperation as there was something I needed to get off my backup drive. This actual drive works absolutely fine, however as I expected putting the circuit board onto my dead drive did not make it accessible. If you are buying one of these drives for that purpose, don't bother.

Low dust, High stopping power
I have used EBC Redstuff pads for many years on a range of different cars, with or without EBC discs. They perform much better than the OEM product or 3rd party pads. Brake fade on repeated use is minimised, they bite nicely hot or cold, they stop you quickly and they make hardly any dust, keeping your rims clean for longer. The first time I used them was many years ago on a 333hp Sapphire Cosworth which suffered from the most horrendous brake fade. EBC discs and Redstuff pads completely cured the problem. I have had them on my Jaguar for several years now with EBC discs and just recently fitted them front and back to my Audi RS5 which runs the OEM Audi (Brembo) discs. I am very pleased. In my experience these are the best fast road pads you can buy. They work perfectly from cold as well as hot, not like the yellowstuff race pads which could be a bit scary on a cold morning! Recommended for any pad change whether you drive fast or not because of the low dust feature and the price.
