Saved by a level skip cheat.
Look, this is a old game with a great atmosphere, I love its style and the look of the gun and arm of you machine. Robotica is super metallic, by that I mean there is no organic life I've seen anywhere so far and I don't think I will right until the end either hense the name Deadalus or Robotica. It's a bit slow on the controls, but they are quite smooth.
It's music is some of the best ever heard in a fps, It's eeire and dramatic, one senses something epic is changing in makinds history as there is an attempt to over through a massive machine system (Deadalus)that has gaurded earths people from their own waring nature for hundreds of years, now however the new generations want it gone since it was set up by people hundreds of years ago, not that the deadalus system is doing anything wrong so far. The game does capture the emptyness of the machines which is quite beautiful as you can almost feel the warmth of you human body inside your mech or rather your Laocorn-class Assault Robot. Also how the machines don't need light to see is clever, but you will have to find light switches on certain levels.
Robotica is playable and the weapon upgrades add depth to the gameplay, but watch out for weapon downgrades!
I was going to give this game a bad review until I found out you could skip back to the level you left off on with a cheat. Hold L and R shoulder pads on control pad 1 the hold start on controller 2 at the same time for about 2 seconds, Then repeat....I personlly just return to when the last fmv played, so the challenge is still there and you have to fight hard through 4 or 5 levels to get to the next new style graphically textured section with different music. Basically the levels that don't look the same as each other.
If I had to go through the same stuff every time(right from the beginning!) when I turned the Saturn on I'd agree with the people who said it was junk.
Well I can't see a save feature anywhere in the game so far. So thanks to what effectivly is a password system to me. I give Robotica its credit for being the most atmosphereic and depressing doom style game ever made.

A misunderstood 32bit racing title.
2 of 2 found this helpful There is something addictive about this game, At first you think; are these controls some kind of joke? Well after 1 hour of play I naturally understood them. The handling needs to be felt in order to be leart. This game is made for the 3D-pad as well, and it works much better with the pad.
The graphics are quite sharpe but they are gritty, which adds to the style of its 32bit nature and fits in well with the games insane speed somehow.
If your looking for the grand snore that is Grand Turismo or Toca. This is not that kind of game at all. However STC cars look similar to G.T graphics, however they have a touch of manga style to them which makes them look very cool, especially the opel in which you can change its color to black.
So the initially frustrating controls become very addictive after time. TIME!
The music is some of the best techno/trance/dance ever heard in a game. The sounds of the game roar out of my surround sound speakers, The engine noise is the best I've heard. Its a challenging game, although it is all highly unrealistic. I mean these cars go from 0-300 mph in 3 seconds!?, but I personally like that as it makes a change from all the rest.
Its very different to anything nowdays, in fact it's actually quite mad.
Complete it on arcade mode to unlock the 20 laps touring mode, Where you get many more songs to listen to and you can arrange the order of the new music tracks for the longer 20 lap sessions.
This game should have been called 'Mad super car arcade blast'
I personally love chasing my ghost with the cheesey and uplifting tunes pumping, At the very least this game has great character. Every so often I will play it hard for 20-30mins straight and hit the zone that is Sega Touring Car.

Useful. Precisely 4 x More Useful Than 1 Headphone Out
So as the title suggests... it splits your stereo signal into 4 stereo signals. It didn't hum or hiss which was marvelous for such an affordable device. Takes a 12v supply which it comes with. Does clip if the signal it receives is too loud, but I turned down the volume on my guitar amp's headphone out and just compensated with the ample gain on this headphone microamp. It is a clone of some slightly more expensive unit on the market, but it really does deliver what it promises, so don't let the brand stop you. Now I can record exactly what I hear in my headphones onto another audio device simultaneously. Very happy.
