An inspiring title that speaks to an isolated success.
'Defiance' is an inspiring story about successful partisan resistance to the brutal German occupation
of Eastern Europe, during World War 11. The characters are well-portrayed and the film is historically
accurate.

A succinct title that encapsulates the central theme.
This is an accurate portrayal of a major Allied success near the end of World War 2. The U.S. Army roles
are excellent as they race to secure the only remaining bridge over the Rhine River, while the German
roles portray the desperation and frustration to halt the bridge's eventual capture.

A good title as a metaphor for war's unpredictable, capricious ways.
The series weaves the personal stories of the Henrys and the Jastrows with the 20th
Century's most defining event, World War 2. These 2 families are representative of
what millions of people experienced, during the war, as victims of the Holocaust and as
families with family members serving in our Armed Forces. Producer Dan Curtis does an
excellent job of intertwining Herman Wouck's story with all of the sub-plots in the series.
