Underwhelmed and not from Blackstone
This is a fairly flimsy cover. It is made in China and not from Blackstone. They also put really hard to remove labels on the top which make it look terrible and possibly burn and discolor. Check for genuine Blackstone products before you buy. I'm fairly certain that company would not want these guys representing the Blackstone name. so yeah, I'm disappointed

Not Bad but...
1 of 3 found this helpful First I ordered this lense used from someone in Hawaii and it arrived at my place in about 4 days So that was excellent. Packaged well and secure.
Pros:
The lense is does a very good job with Depth of Field photographs (where the subject is in the foreground and the background is blurred). So you can get creative with this lense. It's relatively light and easy to use. Auto focus works well (a little noise but not annoying). It's a very good walkabout lense especially if you can get it used.
Cons: The only thing I do not like about the lense is if you carry it over your shoulder the lense will drop/extend on it's own. I wish it was less sensitive to gravity. It's not a rugged lense for that reason.
Recommendations: If you are a budding amateur/enthusiast photographer this is a very good lense to have on your camera to hande most subjects.

I understand now - Anything less than this mixer is A LOT LESS

I'm a guy that likes to cook (because I like to eat and I'm now trying to impress this lady I just met with my cooking skills). I've had my eye on one of these mixers for decades and wondered what all the hype was about. I also had been waiting for the price to come way down but it never really did. This deal came up so I jumped on it. I'm glad I did.
So here's what I know now...This stand mixer performs as advertised and then some. It's what all other mixers wish they were like.
I got this because I was trying to teach myself how to bake bread in a new dutch oven (I recommend getting one of those too). I had been making bread by hand which was fine but then I came across a recipe for a stand mixer so I got mine. THE DOUGH HOOK IS AWESOME!!! My bread came out like really good restaurant bread. You'll be making it for your friends and family all the time. I also made a cake which came out excellent and my confidence went up. Then I got a grinder attachment, put some chuck steak into it and flung those burgers on the grill. I'm never buying hamburger again. I think I'm going to try sausage next...
It's my favorite machine in my house.
The only slight drawback you might find is the thing is big like a piece of furniture (or a body guard). So you'll need some counter space. But it's so retro and cool looking that noone will ever ask if you can cook after walking into your kitchen. They will assume you're some kind of culinary ninja - without a word being spoken.
So if you're considering getting a KitchenAid Stand Mixer, GET ONE NOW! That way you'll be practiced before the holidays. It's worth the money. I totally get why great cooks like my sister and my Aunt Mary use them (and why their food is so good). My guess is millions of cooks of all types will agree.
I love my KitchenAid mixer and my bet is you will too. Splurge and join the club!
