A great product but significantly over-priced
Necessary if you use an external battery for Di2 and want to use Shimano's E-Tube Project to set up your bike and bike computer. Ridiculously overpriced, as with most Shimano Di2 bits, but not much choice in the matter. Don't bother with it if you don't need/want the bluetooth/Di2/E-Tube interface, just use the (much cheaper) SM-BMR1 or SM-BMR2 mount.
It works well and the E-Tube Project app is slick, especially in updating any "new" installation with the latest firmware. But, because of the ridiculous price, check with your local bike shop and see if it might be cheaper just to let them do the work.

Sturdy but tricky installation
Comes without instructions for shift cable installation. Top pull is simple, bottom pull is more difficult and requires access to Shimano website for installation instructions and information on SIS tuning and derailleur adjustment.
