Sturdy rubber case but fingerprint reader is not wide enough

Seems very sturdy and would provide good protection [good], but makes the overall phone quite a bit thicker than I would have liked [bad]. There is a ridge on the front so that if you place the phone face-down on a table, the screen will not touch the table [good]. Unlike the smooth plastic slippery surfaces on some other phone-cases, this one is made of a rubbery material, so it has good grip [good]. Since Samsung put the fingerprint reader on the side [bad], there is an opening in the case for the fingerprint reader. But the opening is not wide enough and blocks my thumb from making good contact with the fingerprint reader [bad]. I took a utility knife and cut the opening so that it would be wider. Now it doesn't look very good, but at least I can easily unlock my phone. Samsung also has a Bixby button on the left side, and I'm always accidentally pushing the button. I don't want to use Bixby, so I popped the red button out of the phone-case and now I won't push the button by accident. The phone-case has a built-in metal plate on the back for magnetic phone stands [good]. Overall, I'm pleased with the phone-case.
