Great recipes when you're really hungry

I love this book - and it is as much a story to read as it is a cookbook. The recipes come from all over the United States, gathered by Bernard and his wife as they traveled across the country. I've already prepared quite a few of the recipes and the instructions are easy to follow and taste delicious. I even purchased a second copy of this cookbook for my newlywed daughter. Imagine my surprise and delight when I read a description of Bernard and his wife trying to drive up our street during a snow storm. This is a great all around cookbook with recipes everyone will enjoy.
