Covers the whole screen
Like PET film covers the whole screen, but a different material (Polyurethane) is used to make it. I can see this protecting from smudges and light scratches, but do not think it will protect from impact like tempered glass protective films would.
Overall, the installation is pretty easy, just follow instructions.
I wish tempered glass protectors would contour and cover the phone screen as this one does, then it would be best of both world's, toughness and flexibility... I guess one can not have both in the same material at current research, development and manufacturing....
There is a tempered glass protector made for a "Galaxy Edge 7," by AUSCREZICON, which covers the whole screen and it is rated high on Amazon. Unfortunately they do not make a comparable product for a "regular" Galaxy 7"
