Older Edirol with extra tweaks
Basically a good, responsive MIDI - USB adapter. A newer model that quit working did not have the extra switches this one has, but they may not be useful for me - a switch to change one plug to THROUGH and a switch to choose between two SYSEX settings (?). Got it to try a MIDI Quest demo with a Korg N1 and a Yamaha MU80.

Seller good, but product vintage makes use difficult.
0 of 1 found this helpful Reviews of Keyspan products suggested a way to bridge vintage and contemporary Macintosh software and a vintage Yamaha MU80 sound module. However, I could not connect OS 9 (PowerPC) or OS X 10 (Intel) hardware or software to the MU80. (There's a Mac OS X 10.4 barrier for G4/G5 units and a 10.5 entry point for MUEditor which won't run in Intel units.) Perhaps if I had a PPC unit that could run 10.5 I could use these adapters with a USB port to the Yamaha MU80. Not sure these are working since only once did a USB-serial patch (Keyspan 128x Manager) indicate that the OS 9 unit was accessing either of the two adapters. This may be a 5 star product if you have the gear (another serial port device) and know how to get them to work together. If you know how to connect an Intel Macintosh unit to the MU80 module, let me know!)

Good replacement
The original top and band on a thrift store tumbler leaked. This replacement offered a lower cost fix than replacing the whole barrel. So far so good, but I noticed the top was concaving after only one tumble. I’ll flip after each tumble.
