Poor casting quality
The casting had a lot of flashing, some of it quite thick, and some voids (missing chunks in a couple of places. After quite a bit of carving and filing it was looking ugly and I gave up on it. I plan to scratch build it, using this model as a guide. I think I can come out with a nicer result.

Nicely detailed, DCC ready loco for good price
Nicely crafted, pretty little DCC-ready loco for $70. One caveat: the front coupler bar (wire) was bent when I received it. I was able to straighten it myself, but I took off one star for that.
