Captivating, multi layered with incredible attention to detail.
The art in this game is unprecedented every level is a masterpiece with unique approaches to all aspects of gameplay. The control requires little to no adaptation but the use of inter-diminsion powers and creative abilities adds a captivating edge. You will find yourself taken aback at how engrossing the gameplay is, not because of the massive amounts of bullets flying out of your firearm or the body count stacking up to achieve a "multi-kill" but rather the games miraculous ability to make you pause and reflect on your next action. Its the first action shooter I have played in a long time where button mashing is the last go to when stuck in a sticky situation.
Many sequels are just a repackaging of the original this is a completely new game. Sure, you take on much of the same powers and abilities Corvo utilized in the first but instead of recycling the same sneak and grab with super powers, which made the first one famous, this game focuses much more on the side quests of hidden bone charms and runes to collect. Its a MASTERPIECE!
