Does not fit a 1983 XR500r
In the listing it says it will fit a 1983 XR500r. WRONG!!!! The gromit is twice the size of the original gromit and won't come even close to fitting. Wasted 3hrs disassembling and reassembling my mc plus wasted a$19 gasket. Luckily my original stator still works and I could just reinstall it. At 70 years old it's not fun kneeling on the garage floor doing the job but would've been worth it if it would have fit like the description said it would.
