Highway of Eternity Hardcover Clifford D. Simak
    Jan 04, 2022
    Not his best
I really like Clifford Simak's science fiction books usually. Way Station and Shakespeare's Planet in particular. Those books and most of his others are coherent and make sense. Highway of Eternity, in my opinion, made me think that Simak took all the pages from his wastebasket of stories that he had previously rejected and cobbled them together to make Highway of Eternity. Too much jumping around and even for a science fiction book, it doesn't make much sense.

    Not his best
IMO, this isn't one of Simak's better books. Just not very compelling. A better read would be either "Way Station" or "Shakespear's Ghost"

Crichton on Dinosaur hunting in the 19th c.
Crichton mixes fact with a fictional main character to tell one of his hard to put down stories. It's more or less about the discovery of the first brontosaurus in the American west ca. 1873. It's better than that sounds.
