Economical
We were buying bottled water, hefting big 5 gallon jugs, time-consuming trips to the store. Bought a Zen system last year and very happy with it. I've worked with ceramic filters before (Big Berkey), so this is fairly straightforward system to me. Every 6 months, disassemble apparatus and replace this part, clean everything thoroughly and good to go for another 6 months. It's cheap, easy and the water tastes good & is perfectly clear.

Safer and cheaper
We were buying water from a kiosk where we took our own bottles. Once got home with 15 gallons of water that smelled like dirt (algae)! The Zen water system needs cleaned every 30 to 60 days, depending on your water and how much sun gets to your location, because algae will grow in the filtered water. It's a nuisance to clean BUT much easier than running out to buy water that might or might not be filtered properly. This filter fits, works, adds just enough minerals to improve the taste. Plus it is clear so you can see if there is contamination like algae. We change every 6 months and on our 3rd filter.

Finally!
Bought several of those fancy soap dishes. We broke them or the paint peeled off. And they were one-bar holders. This one will hold 2 normal size (3-4 oz.) bars, keeps them out of the water and is sturdy stainless and easy to clean. We love it!
