Great features and flexibility
Beautifully made with three 1/4" accessory threads. Light, compact and the extension column adds flexibility. Takes a range of different heads. Good payload capability. I have other mini tripods but none with this unique combination of features. I have since bought the accessory arms which have double ball joints offering great choice of accessory mounting - microphone, lights/flashes, monitor etc. This is now my go-to mini tripod and reminds me of a Swiss Army penknife.

Good case, light, adequate protection, great value
I have had an original Sony version of this case for about 8 years. In comparison, this version looks very similar but is of a slightly lighter construction and has different zips (the orange accent colour is also less intense). The quality of the build seems good as is the stitching. The padding seems very similar to the original. First impressions suggest I can expect many years of service from this bag. At this price, it represents great value for me.

Good Device
I have carried around PCs and other storage devices to back up photos and video while in the field and have carried too much kit. This is especially important with the miserly hand baggage allowances of most airlines except BA. This is a small and light device in comparison.
This affordable device is very simple but so far has delivered faithfully. It is not hugely flexible so it is best to tailor one's memory card strategy accordingly. I have found it is best to shoot on several 8GB cards for stills (as opposed to fewer 32+GB cards) since if one backs up when the card is full and then locks and stores the card, there is not the problem of wasting the storage and space of copying a 32GB card several times with all the earlier photos needlessly duplicated. HD/4K video is always a storage challenge but this device will handle those too. I did an 11GB backup recently and it took many minutes and most of the battery power. My advice is always to backup when the unit is connected to a power supply, unless you are backing only a reasonable amount of data. The very well priced 'oyster-style' case is an excellent accessory and holds cables and other accessories too.
The use of FAT32 is very pragmatic and I have had no issue with this tank drive on Apple OS X and Windows 10. Being very old I can easily reformat as required in 500GB partitions in FAT32 - but this is what would be needed if you have to reformat a partition. New age users need to pay attention to this.
While the simplicity of this device may not be to everyone's taste, I am delighted by its fitness for purpose and correct function. The simplicity does suggest altering one's storage strategies to make best use of the capacity (I bought the 1TB) but with the ever reducing costs of card memory, this for me is not a significant issue.
In terms of fitness for purpose and value for money, I recommend this device highly.
