Fits the need (and the door) perfectly
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very nice product for my needs. While many of the digital deadbolts out there will let you program dozens of combinations, this will only take 6. Anything more than that is totally unnecessary in my opinion. The instructions from all programming functions reside inside the battery cover, so you don't have to worry about forgetting or losing them. In addition, the keypad lights up when you push the 'Kwikset' button at the top of the pad, so arriving home in the dark is not a problem.
For the standard handyman the installation is intuitive. For those not so handy, the instructions are easy to follow.
One of my favorite features is the auto lock. This can be turned on or off, and once turned on, the lock delay can be set up to 99 seconds. The only problem with this feature is that, if the door attempts to lock while the door is not 'securely' closed, the door will immediately unlock, and the auto lock feature will be disabled until the next time you use the 'kwikset' button to lock the door. On the bright side, this has caused my wife to remember pull the door tightly when she leaves the house.
Overall a great value.

Roomba Scheduler Rave Review
I bought the Roomba Scheduler originally for a friend and ended up keeping it for myself. I've been a fan of the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaners for some time as they allow me to multitask, they get easily into places that would otherwise be difficult for me to vacuum in, and they do a pretty decent job of sweeping floors, rugs, carpets, etc. OK, so they don't deep clean -- but they do, when used with reasonable regularity, keep clean.
I'm aware that some folks claim that the battery life is not what they feel it should be. It has been my experience, however, that when used 2 or more days each week, the roomba battery will actually give well over a year of very satisfactory service.
The Roomba Scheduler takes cleaning to a new level. You can literally program days of week and times of day into the machine and it will clean house automatically at the scheduled times. In addition, the virtual walls (walls made of radio signal that keep the unit confined as desired) can also be programmed in like fashion. I am delighted when I have 3 rooms being simultaneously vacuumed and knowing that when done the robots will return to their charging stations to be charged and made ready for the next scheduled cleaning.
For routine house cleaning I recommend a Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner. For routine house cleaning even when you are not at home, get a Roomba Scheduler.
(The friend mentioned above, by the way, decided she did not want a scheduler, rather, she wanted one just like the one my mother has. :)She's happy, and I'm delighted.)

IRobot -- Roomba
2 of 2 found this helpful My mother was given a Roomba for Christmas a couple of years ago. She seldom uses it, as she is in the habit of traditional vacuuming and just doesn't feel that there is any substitute. I, however, am busy renovating my house and have little or not time for traditional methods of housekeeping. The Roomba allows me to multitask and still get the jo adequately done.
This particular little fella showed up on eBay, and I was able to get him at a very reasonable price. Now that he is here, I just set him in a different room each day and let him eat to his heart's desire. Sometimes I charge him up and give him a second room for the day.
At times I do take a few minutes to watch him work. He gets into and under places that I would not normally have easy access to, such as under my dresser.
If he has any weaknesses, I would say they might be corners, and a battery that is showing its age. All-in-all, though, he's a fine fella gotten at a very good price.
