Nice sound in a small package!
Recently got the Model One from a dealer. Nicely packed, and a very nice analog, "no-frills" radio! The unit is well made, and has excellent sensitivity on FM and decent AM reception, certainly good enough for local/regional during the daytime, and many distant stations at night.
I am an AM Broadcast enthusiast, so I connected an external AM antenna made of a large diameter ferrite rod that is tuned over the band. Radio gets signal from a pickup coil on the antenna. WOW! Selectivity and Am stations come from all over with this radio now! Very nicely performing radio, with superior sound (retro old-school feel to the radio when tuning AM!)
This is a nice addition to a living room, as a bedroom radio or kitchen unit. Great product. Well made and good value, IMO.

Nice Retro Sytlish Watch
Had mine for a few weeks now. It looks great, handles water splashes and showering no problem, despite what 3ATM water resistance figures say. NO ISSUE!
Fairly easy to set, the time keeps well, with minimal drifting after 3 weeks, perhaps 1/2s. What I really like about this watch, which is why I got it, is three-fold:
1) slightly retro look with 24h numbers also on face make it a nice and stylish watch which also tells time in 24h format. Also very easy to read quickly when in a hurry.
2) Different color from normal "steel silver"; the Titanium gray has a slight tinge to it - very subtle but unique, nonetheless. Thin style assures minimal profile when wearing under dress shirts.
3) I personally HATE leather straps. I go through them very quickly. The mesh strap is very functional, classic looking, and easy to both adjust and wear.
I guess I could add the price tag didn't break the bank, either, though I could afford most watches in the sub-$1k range easily anyway. I also like the fact that the hands are meshed, or set, to the numbers and pips on the face, as they should be! Many watches these days, even pricier ones, often don't do very effective QC. Skagen does!

Great and sensitive versatile Geiger unit
1 of 1 found this helpful I have several of these types of GQ-electronic Geiger units (this is the first 600 series with SBT-11A in it).
Sensitivity is very good, reads well and features added in the past year to be able to do timed counts and other averaged values is really nice.
Portable, easy to use and works well! I recommend this and really ANY GQ-Elec Geiger devices. Very nicely made and affordable, given many other choices out there do not have the data handling on board in most cases and they cost sometime 10-50% more.
