SONS OF THE WHITE EAGLE IN THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR Divided Poles Divided Nation
    Sep 06, 2016
Great read of Poles in American Civil War
I truly enjoyed reading this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a first generation American with Polish heritage---- I am also an American history buff --particularly the period following the Revolutionary War leading to the Civil War (1790-1870).I can also respect the research effort and the preparation which went into "bringing this book" to the market. This book is for the "true" history loving !!! Thanks.
Havisham: A Novel Inspired by Dickens's Great Expectations by Frame, Ronald
    Nov 02, 2015
    An enjoyable story---cleverly written.
I literally began my teaching career with Dickens Great Expectations----so I immediately recognized the character/connection and viewed the story as a prequel----filling in the "back story" of Miss Havisham. I thoroughly enjoyed the story !!
MR. PICKWICK'S PLENTIFUL PORTIONS, BY BRENDA MARSHALL 1980 GREAT COOK BOOK
    Mar 02, 2016
    Food from Dickens' works
I am a founding member of the Cleveland chapter of the Dickens Fellowship and a Mr. Pickwick "fanatic"----therefore the title caught me eye! While I probably won't prepare many of these dishes, I do intend to investigate the book/chapter references which accompany each recipe. Probably not a book suited to everyone's "taste"!!!
