Truth Cam 46 - P/N 63020 - Old Reliable
I bought a model 63020, in 2009 or 2010 (default date when I put in new batteries is 1/1/2008) and have used it for two months each year since. I liked the camo look and its 5mp resolution. It is larger than the current Truth Cam 46 Ultra, runs on 4 "D" cells or an external 6v feeder battery, either alkaline or lead-acid.
A very small percentage of the pictures are over exposed. Daytime pictures are color; dawn, dusk and night pictures are b/w. Unlike newer, smaller Ultra models, there is a faint sound and a pink glow from the 63020 camera when it takes I/R photos at night and it does not have a time lapse mode. I think they quit making these around 2010.
One of the two pictures of this camera at the top of the Reviews and Research page is a TRUTH Cam 46 Ultra. The Ultras are not as reliable as the older units. The newest model is an Ultra HD. The Ultras are way, way different from the model 63020; smaller, easier to program with slide switches, use 8 "AA" batteries or an external 12v feeder battery, etc. Some (most) of the reviews refer to the Ultra's.
I have 4 TRUTH Cam 46 Ultra's model 63021 and one 63024. One died after the first year of use. The others are still working. The 63021's and 63024's can also work on external 12v rechargeable feeder batteries. The manual says they don't work well on rechargeable "AA"'s. None of these newer models will work on a 6V external battery, no matter that the rubber cover says 6-12VDC or that an old, pre-Ultra, Primos 6v external battery pack that says it will work on all Truth Cam 46's.
I made some adjustable mounts that screw into the 1/4-20 threaded mounts on one end and a t-post on the other because there are no trees where I hunt. I always aim the camera to the north to avoid backlit subjects. The cameras have taken pictures of deer, birds, javalinas, racoons, foxes, wind blown brush, ATV's, pickup trucks, one trespasser and me. I used the time laps mode of the 63021 to watch a dove sitting on her nest of eggs. The battery died after taking about 8GBytes of photos. Later I used to watch an earth dam being built. The time lapse pictures play back as movie.
There are some problems with the battery spring contacts. Avoid those problems by loading the batteries two at a time, bottom end of the bottom battery and top end of the top battery first, without compressing the springs. They'll form a flattened, inverted "V". Match the top of the bottom and bottom of the top battery and push them in together. The slide switches have improved with the 2013 and 2014 models.
I will buy another one or two just because I already have four working units, but only if they are 2014 or newer.
Serial Number of my TRUTH CAM 46

My TRUTH CAM Ultras
63021-1228-107479 bought in early 2012
63021-1241-120367 bought in Nov. 2012
63021-1302-130634 bought in Jan 2014
63021-1302-131505 bought in Jan 2014
63024-1317-14094 bought in Nov 2014
Note that first two digits after the - appear to be the year they were made. The 63024 looks like it was made for a big retailer. There's no mention of this model on the Primos website.
63021-1302-131505 bought in Jan 2014 is dead. With new batteries that read 99% in another camera, the batteries get warm and nothing else happens. After a couple of minutes, I put the batteries back in the other camera and they were 43%.
In addition to these, there are lots of similar looking and named versions. Some have more LED's.

Tools for the Long Haul
I started buying Proto wrenches in 1962, when I was in high school. I needed to replace the head gasket on my tractor. We sold the tractor to a collector, but I still have that Proto torque wrench. I've lost a few pieces of first set I bought, but never wore anything out. The original 1/2" ratchet is probably in the barn, but I gave up trying to find it last week and just bought another. Only reason I can't say they've lasted a lifetime is I'm still alive.

Exact replacement
An exact replacement that's easy enough to swap in and get going. It came with new washers, lock washers, nuts and even new back up beeper. Label all the wires as you take them off the old unit and it's easy to get going again. If you can change out your cart's batteries, you can do this. My old switch had a burnt terminal so I replaced a wire and I sprayed white grease on the switch's shaft, which made it easier to operate.
