Nice upgrade that matches the VXi look.
Great replacement for DRC-100 or 200. Light indicators and interface make mutiple on the fly adjustments possible. Combinations of mid-base and bass levels; or even tweeters and bass; along with fading options. Expands number of switchable presets over the DRC-100 from 4 to 7 with different color bands for each.
Very attractive and takes only slightly more room than the DRC-100 but rear still remains fairly small for install. Easy to take off front knobs for install. Comes with two extra rings for mounting purposes. Also comes with a bracket and screws to optionally mount the interface that plugs into CAT5 cable. Uses same CAT5 interface as DRC-100 and DRC-200 so if you are upgrading, you don't have to run new cable to the amp.
Rubber on larger knob is nice but if manhandled too much it easily slips off.
If you have a DRC-100, maybe good for an aesthetic upgrade as well as having presets for different genres. If you own the DRC-200, functionality upgrade may not be as great.

Does what its supposed to
Completely deadened the license plate rattle I was getting. Now a solid dead thud from the trunk plate. More than enough provided to get the job done. As depicted.

Great stuff, but make sure you have <6Ah batteries for full options.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great product with excellent output. The only problem is literally if you're a power user and have the 6.0+ XL batteries. These batteries, when attached, protrude outside the below the black grabber/magnet area. Not a big deal in many cases, but if you're thinking of using it under a vehicle hood or something, it makes it difficult to mount. But YES, the magnets are strong enough to hold it, even with an M18 (as long as its 5.0 Ah size or smaller (no XL)....9.0 definitely protruded out and made placement harder,as well as being heavier).
The light is position-able in several different ways thanks to its unique design. It can be positioned at any angle, but it does have an end point where it stops twisting (but ok if you twist from other direction to that point). The Mode button on the side also controls 3 different levels of light luminosity.
Magnet holds really well and the grabber function works better than I thought. I can have this hanging on a counter, off a rail, I can put it under a vehicle hood magnetically, or I can lay under a car with it face up or on its side with the light faced up for more throw.
Just buy a 5.0 battery for the most versatility.
