Excellent value, I'll be buying more.

Nicely made, breeze to install, functions as advertised.
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought a Dyna ignition coil (the instructions recommend them, which makes sense as Dyna is the OEM for the Ultima) and had the swap done in an hour. Static timing with the LED is easy and no further adjustments were required. (I checked with a timing light afterwards.)
Keeping it real, points with a good mechanical advance work fine but I wanted to check one of these out so I did.
The included crimp connectors are better quality than the usual auto store sh1te. I used bare connectors covered with heat shrink tubing instead because I prefer them but the included parts are fine. The wire bundle is long enough for you to route properly.
If your stock Harley electronic ignition died of old age this is a hassle-free replacement.
If you don't have one, buy the FACTORY Harley service manual and parts book for any Harley you own. Even if you don't do your own wrenching the information is more than worth it, and the parts book makes ordering online after Googling part numbers a breeze.
I'm an experienced aircraft and motorcycle mechanic.

Get Intel GPU and avoid Nvidia unless buying for parts as I did. :-)
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this as an organ donor knowing it had the infamous Nvidia GPU failure, which left the rest of the machine as an excellent parts donor. It's WUXGA display and some other parts are serving me well on another T61.
Check the CODE and BUILD DATE on Lenovo service tag stickers then use a search engine and/or the Lenovo site to determine what (should) be inside any Thinkpad you buy.
T61s are great machines even for an old design. Nicely built, and with a modern hard disk or SSD and at least 4GB RAM (they actually DO work with 8GB, though that's not listed. Nice for VMs, I have 8GB in one of mine.)
I have thousands of hours on my main T61. Fully supported by CentOS, Linux Mint, many other distros and Windows versions from XP to 7. Said to run well with Windows 8, but I don't care enough to sample that.
