LG LS620: Competent, cheap Android
This phone isn't great; it's cheap. If your budget is low or you drop/lose/drown/break phones then this is a good choice. It's not terrible unless you're spoiled by higher-priced models.
It works great on Ringplus with their free and paid plans, in addition to its native MVNO Boost Mobile.
Battery life is ok, not great, not terrible. You can buy a broken LS620 on eBay for a scant few bucks to get a spare battery (or just buy batteries of course, but then you still need a phone to use as a charger). It's quick and easy to pop in a new battery.
Internal storage is a bit anemic, but if you root it then you can clean up a bunch of bloat, move a few dependable favorite apps to the /system partition, use link2sd to move other apps to an ext3fs on the SD card, etc.
The screen could stand to be brighter, but you don't need to use a screen protector. The Gorilla Glass that it has is decent. If you crack it, cheap replacements are here on eBay.
Its Android 4.4 OS isn't too obsolete yet. I haven't found any apps that refuse to run on it.

Simple, ingenious, and well-built
New Trent executed this simple concept flawlessly. The magnet has little fingers that grab perfectly on every vent fin that I've tried and is the perfect strength for holding a smartphone or similar device. The included bits of sheet steel are shaped nicely and have adhesive backs in case you can't slip them inside the phone's case.
End result: Quick, easy mount installation to the car, effortless attaching/detaching of the phone to the mount, and secure holding of the phone by the mount.
It also works great with whatever little bits of sheet steel you might have around if you're the handy sort and have lots of devices that you'd like to use with it.

Exactly what a small clipboard ought to be, at a great price
Clipboards this size, in the standard fiberboard, used to be easily found at Dollar Tree stores, but I haven't seen one in forever. This plastic one is superior, and easily ordered right here on eBay from the comfort of my couch.
It is a standard clipboard and there's not much to review about it. The clip is properly sprung and secured to the board. The board is flat. I guess it could be better if it also had an inches scale along with the metric scale printed on it.
