I made it work..
Threaded part wasn't long enough to attach the washer and nut when I put it through the transom. It did fit pretty tight, so I used silicone to keep it in place. It's my fault for assuming it would fit. I'd caution other buyers to measure before ordering. But it's not a problem to just silicone it in place. I'm happy with it the way it is. It's functional and looks nice on the outside. I guess that's all that matters.

Great price on a nice hat
I purchased this to replace the one I lost. I had paid $80 at a retail store, so I was very happy to find it at this price. Fitted headband is great. Hat can be reshaped by wetting and forming it, but the way it comes is pretty good. Highly recommended.
