5" Sunnecko Damascus Chef Knife Japanese Sandwich Santoku Sashimi Slicing Knife

Amazing little workhorse knife

I love great knives, and this is one of the best! I bought several of these 5 inch Sunnecko santoku slicing knives, keeping a couple for myself and giving the rest to family. Though reasonably priced, this knife is my daily go-to knife for slicing fruit and smaller vegetables. In particular, no other knife I own makes such short work of removing flesh from mangos. Like all Sunnecko knives, edge retention and the quality of the metallurgy is amazing. The bulgy handle is what really sets these knives apart from the rest. I hate to admit it, but for sheer usability these little Chinese knives beat my Japanese Shun Premier knives that cost over 10x more.

Decent value 12 speed cassette

While not all SRAM Eagle equipment is flawless (referring to SRAM's 12 speed chain failures) this cassette meets my expectations. XG-1295 and XG-1299 cassettes may be better suited to racing, but for the price this recreational model XG-1295 is beautifully engineered. I still miss the days of $30 six speed cassettes that worked beautifully on my road bike at 1/3 the weight, but I don't miss the chore of maintaining a front derailleur and multiple chainrings, nor dropped chains. 1x12 wins on reliability, though mucking out twelve fixed rings requires more effort than six.

The high quality of these USA manufactured lug nuts is unlike anything from China. Real chrome plating (not spray paint) on hardened steel – go USA manufacturing!
