Another 4-5 years of life

By replacing the mic I'll add another 4-5 if life ot the ICOM. Easy to install. Cleared up the "noise" when I was xmitting.

I've purchased 4 - they are great devices.

I've purchased 4 of these over the last several years. Kwikset has made minor improvements over the years that has made it easier to service the device, such as the battery access panel. All of the devices I've purchased have been connected to z-wave home automation systems (Vera, VeraPlus). Generally they are very easy to config with Vera. One note, the installation and trouble-shooting instructions do not provide the most important helpful when when trying to pair the device. If your device fails to pair, i suggest extracting the battery pack, then extracting the communications card, which is directly adjacent to the battery pack. Keep it extracted for 30 seconds or so and reinstall. This has solved all of my pairing issues. Kwikset telephone support is awesome. We site support is so-so - like the above hint is not on the website - at least not hat i could find. My only negative about the product is it's finish. I have installs in beachfront property and the device's finish could be more durable. But for non saltwater property i wish it were more durable. I still use in it beachfront properties but i wish it were more durable.
